They seem to do the trick. Using plastic to prevent galvanic corrosion on an aluminum frames. The ferrule material seems to be a somewhat hard plastic but they fit well on the housing and on the bike. I was expecting more of a nylon type material. We will see how these stand up to cold weather and exposure to limestone from gravel roads.
